What is a biography?

In Matthew Henson at the Top of the World the author, Jim Haskins, turns the facts of Henson's life into narrative form in order to make it more storylike.  Haskins creates his narrative account by using vivid and descriptive language. 

As you re-read the story today, create a chart showing the period of life and the descriptive words or phrases used to describe those periods.  See the sample chart below.

You will have a test on this story tomorrow.  Use your chart and venn diagrams to help you review for the test.
